National Museum of Marine Science and Technology at Badouzi

posted in: Places 2

In addition to the National Palace Museum, there is at least one other museum worth spending a half day or more in northern Taiwan: NMMST, National Museum of Marine Science and Technology. This wonderful sight opened in 2014. The museum is neighbors with Port Bisha and Badouzi on the west side, and further east, the region connects to the famous JiuFen and Chinkuashih. The museum encompasses an area over 500,000 square meters and is divided into three sections: the Main Exhibition Buildings has architecture in the image of a sailboat while retaining its former  power station’s existing foundation and structure. This is connected to the IMAX Theater, which has regular showings. The last building is the Regional Exploration Building, which faces to the port with its rich content of local fishing villages. Generally speaking, the exhibition itself doesn’t include a demonstration of live creatures, but it contains a vast amount of interesting scientific knowledge from fishery to the deep sea. Its interactive design is well-designed.

If you want to know more about Keelung’s harbor culture, then you should not miss the “People and the Sea Gallery.” The Regional Exploration Building is the only free area, and it is a great place to start learning about the fisheries of Keelung. Thanks to the unique seaside scenery surrounding the museum, after a visit indoors you can do some outdoor explorations following a trail. You can head to the nearby Badouzi fishing village, Secret coast –Daping, Wangyou Valley or ChaoJing Park, and one day will be enough to explore the museum and the beautiful coastline of Keelung.

The NMMST train station can connect you to the old branch line Pingxi / Shen’ao, and it is only 15 mins to Ruifang Station. If you don’t mind doing a little climbing to reach the platform, it would be a good idea to add this place to your traveling plans.

Hi. I see that you don’t update your website too
often. I know that writing articles is boring and time consuming.

But did you know that there is a tool that allows you to create
new posts using existing content (from article directories or
other websites from your niche)? And it does it very well.
The new posts are high quality and pass the copyscape test.
    Search in google and try:
